I don’t know about you, but I’m stunned by what I see each day in the news. There is no doubt in my mind that our world has lost it’s moral compass, and now the evil we are watching unfold daily is unprecedented. Yet, it shouldn’t surprise us. There are warning signs all through Scripture, which give us a picture of what it will look like in the end of days. Paul warned Timothy (2 Timothy 3) that in the end perilous times would come upon us. He lists one thing after the other, which are unfolding right now in front of our very own eyes. In verse 13, Paul tells us that “Evil men shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” So what does this all mean to the true believers? It simply means this, “Look up for your redemption draws nigh.”

Let me ask you a simple question, “Is what we’re seeing take place in this world, enough to get us serious about our walk with the Lord? Is it enough to cause us to examine where we are spiritually; to make sure that our lamps are full of oil, prepared for the coming of the Bridegroom?” For me, there is nothing in this world that is worth missing the coming of our King Jesus.

Here is my prayer for you today, “Lord, may we get serious about where we are today spiritually. So serious, that we do what we need and know to do, to live each day on fire for You. In Jesus name, Amen.”
